About the founder 👤

Christian Reber, the founder and CEO of Pitch, is a German entrepreneur renowned for his success in creating the acclaimed to-do app Wunderlist. Alongside his colleagues at a web agency, Reber initiated the development of Wunderlist as a solution to effectively organize their diverse clients and ongoing projects. The team established their startup, 6Wunderkinder, based in Berlin in 2011, and skillfully crafted a cloud-based application that seamlessly managed tasks across various devices such as smartphones, tablets, and computers. Subsequently, in June 2015, Microsoft acquired Wunderlist for a reported sum of $100 to $200 million, at which point the app had garnered an impressive user base of 13 million individuals. Following the acquisition, Reber embarked on a two-year tenure as Microsoft's Entrepreneur in Residence.

Discovering a golden opportunity 💡

The three juggernauts in the presentation are Powerpoint, Keynote, and Google slides. Pitch is trying to take a huge market share from them. The team was looking for a good product to build, they saw design companies such as Figma and Canva, and decided to build a software for people who aren’t designers.
